Yet more new faces joined us this month for a general workshop preceded by our own Gary Allum giving a talk on the propagation of cuttings. Covering hardwood, softwood, the types of cutting appropriate for each, rooting powders, timings and more, Garys talk was a great intro to the techniques and useful to those more practiced. Many thanks to Gary for his time. The general workshop then followed, unfortunately without teas and coffees as no-one thought to bring any in Johns absence! This however hopefully didn’t kerb the enthusiasm of our new visitors who took the opportunity to get around the room asking questions of those working on their trees. With any luck we’ll continue to welcome new folk to the group!
