After substantial difficulties (user incompetence!) here it finally is….
As we are unable to meet this year, here’s our effort to bring it to you instead. A slightly smaller turnout than usual but circumstances are indeed strange. We’d rather show a few trees than none at all…
Lonicera Nitida:- Cutting taken in 1989, field grown until 2007, lifted and trained in a growing pot until March 2019.
Bobs Maple – Acer Palmatum gifted about 15 years ago by a man who was a friend of his Uncle (Bill Collings well known at the Plymouth Bonsai Society) after his Uncle died. The owner at that time was in his 90s and Bob believes the tree is about 40 years old.
Crabapple – Submitted by Louise Burrell, photographed in spring
‘This Rowana (Mountain Ash) was given to me a few years ago by Jim Logan our club Chairman, I decided to put them together and they are in an Erin pot, a wee sprout has joined them. The jiita maker is not known. All my trees are smaller now!’
Submittted by Delyse Upton
Carpinus turczaninowii – Korean hornbeam raft submitted by Neil Hutchings
Acer Palmatum – Submitted by Louise Burrell, photographed earlier this year.
