In September guest speaker Mark Moreland came to the club and gave a very interesting talk on propagating miniature bonsai from large cuttings using a method that he has developed and refined over the last few years. A key point for success was to ensure that the humidity is kept as high as possible within the propagator. Many thanks to Mark for sharing his knowledge and experience on this subject.

We held our autumn club show in October, with many of our members bringing in trees and accent plantings. There was a very diverse selection of tree species. Some were in fabulous autumnal colour whilst others were resplendent in colourful fruit. It was really interesting to hear the details of the development of many of these bonsai over so many years. Ideas and possibilities for the future development of some of these bonsai were also discussed. Thanks to Brian and Neil for all of their advice and to all the members who brought in trees.
